Team Apex Gaming (TAG) are the champions of the Free Fire MAX India Cup (FFMIC) Fall 2026 after a closely contested Grand Finals in Noida. The team finished the final stage on 152 points and secured the championship through the Champion Rush format on September 27. Resurrection ended just one point behind on 151, making it one of the closest finishes of the tournament. TAG's victory also secured the organisation's second consecutive FFMIC title for the roster, following its success in the Spring edition under the Team HIND name. The Grand Finals were held across September 26 and 27 at the Noida Indoor Stadium, with 12 teams competing for the title and three places at the FFWS 2026 Global Finals.
TAG Complete FFMIC Fall 2026 Campaign
The Grand Finals began with the Point Rush stage on September 26. Six matches were played on the opening day, giving teams the opportunity to build their overall scores and earn Headstart Points for the following day's Champion Rush. TAG finished the first day in fourth place with 79 points, including 47 eliminations. TSG Pros led the standings at the end of Point Rush with 120 points, followed by S8UL on 106 and Revenant XSpark on 90.
That meant TAG did not enter the final day as the team with the biggest points advantage. The format, however, left plenty of room for movement once Champion Rush began. The second day worked differently from a standard points-based final. Teams first had to reach 110 points to become eligible to win the championship. Reaching that mark alone was not enough. An eligible team then had to secure a Booyah in a subsequent match to finish the tournament as champion.
Champion Rush Changes the Title Race
The unusual format kept several teams in contention deep into the final day. Resurrection became the first side to reach the 110-point requirement in Match 6, putting the team in a position to end the tournament. TSG Pros, Clutza Esports and iQOO OGxTE later entered the Champion Rush race as they crossed the required points threshold. TAG also moved towards eligibility as the matches progressed.
The eighth match proved important for the eventual champions. TAG managed to prevent other eligible teams from converting their opportunities into a Booyah and also collected enough points to become eligible itself. That set up the final match. TAG then survived the closing battle and secured the Booyah in Match 9. The result immediately ended the championship race and handed the trophy to Team Apex Gaming.
The final numbers underline how close the contest was. TAG ended the Grand Finals with 152 points, 89 eliminations, and one Booyah. Resurrection followed with 151 points, while TSG Pros completed the top three with 146 points.
A Second FFMIC Title for the Roster
There is an important distinction in TAG's latest achievement. The organisation has now won its first FFMIC title under the Team Apex Gaming identity, but the players had already lifted the Spring trophy earlier in the year as Team HIND. That makes the Fall result a second successive FFMIC championship for the same roster, even though the team competed under a different organisational name during the Spring season. The result also gives TAG another domestic title to add to its 2026 campaign.
KDGOD was also named the Grand Finals MVP after TAG's title-winning run. The player received ₹1.5 lakh for the individual award, while TAG collected ₹35 lakh for finishing first in the tournament. Resurrection came closest to stopping TAG's run. The team finished the Grand Finals with 151 points and two Booyahs, just one point behind the eventual champions.
TSG Pros remained in the title conversation until the closing stages and ended the competition third with 146 points. Clutza Esports and Orangutan X Elite completed the top five with 134 and 127 points, respectively. The narrow margins made the Champion Rush system particularly significant. A strong points total could put a team in contention, but the championship still depended on converting that position into a Booyah. TAG managed to do that when the opportunity arrived.
TAG Book Place at FFWS 2026 Global Finals
The FFMIC Fall 2026 result also has international implications. The top three teams from the Grand Finals earned qualification for the FFWS 2026 Global Finals. TAG, Resurrection and TSG Pros will therefore represent India at the next global event, which is scheduled to take place in Thailand in November. The qualification gives the three teams an opportunity to compete against squads from other regions after the domestic FFMIC campaign.
The team has completed the FFMIC Fall season with another title, a Grand Finals MVP award for KDGOD and a place at the global event. The final match in Noida provided the clearest summary of the tournament. TAG did not need to dominate every stage of the Grand Finals. It needed to stay within reach, become eligible, and take the Booyah when the championship was there to be won.
